Clare is a ceramic artist who draws her inspiration from a childhood spent travelling the globe, her work often produces a commentary on the strange relationships and experiences formed out of a world in constant flux, and is primarily concerned with the alien and sometimes difficult nature of being a human being in a constantly changing environment.  An exploration of the concepts of childhood, servitude, disability, alienation and the imaginary frequent her work.

All works are hand made in clay with mixed media and may also be cast in bronze.

Clare studied for her BA at Canterbury Christ Church University Where she recieved a first class honours degree and the Boughton and Yarrow award. She is currently studying for her MA at University for the Creative Arts in Canterbury.
